The Freemans are a proud, close-knit Nevisian family, historically, hailing from the St. George’s (Gingerland) communities of Stoney Hill and Rawlins/Hardtimes. Among them are Nevisian culture bearers, musicians, farmers, teachers, nurses, fishermen, builders, and clergy. They are stalwarts for Nevis who have left their mark in Nevisian history and have contributed to its development. Historical accounts suggest that Freeman branches today descended from the marriage of Ann Eliza Swanston and her husband Job Freeman in the 1800s…more genealogical research is needed to confirm…no matter which branch you belong to, we share the same roots.
